Surface Science Specialist User Group

The Surface Science Specialist User Group exists to inform and represent present and potential users of Synchrotron Radiation, in the field of Surface Science, at Daresbury Laboratory. Meetings are held in the Spring and as part of the Laboratory's general user meeting which usually held in September.

Both Chris Binns (Chair) and Mark Surman (Secretary) have now stepped down from their positions in the Surface Science Specialist User Group after several years' sterling service. Many thanks go to both of them for their efforts. Dr. Ian Kirkman has recently taken over as Secretary of the SSUG, and Dr. Philip Moriarty is taking over as the new Chair. Both appointments are for a period of 2 years. One of the first tasks will be to produce an agenda for the upcoming Specialist User Group Meeting at the General SR User's Meeting in September. Details of this will be posted here as soon as they have been finalised.

General enquiries about using the SRS should, in the first instance, be addressed to the User Liaison Office.
